LMS General Overview:

• At Roots Education, we use a Learning management system (LMS) to plan, deliver, manage, and track educational courses and training programs. Acting as a centralized digital hub, it empowers educators to organize and share content.  
• We also believe that it goes beyond content delivery, an LMS streamlines our essential administrative workflows—such as enrollment, grading, and performance analytics—and fosters communication between instructors, students, and sometimes parents. It's a versatile tool that supports both synchronous and asynchronous learning, enhances engagement, and makes education both scalable and data-driven

LMS Policies:

• Use the LMS and Internet strictly for learning, classroom activities, and school-approved tasks.
• AI tools may only be used when explicitly authorized by a teacher. 
• Unauthorized use is considered academic dishonesty and may lead to disciplinary action.
• Students must rely on their knowledge and skills; AI-generated content must not be presented as their work without permission. 
• If AI is used, it must be disclosed, reviewed for accuracy, and properly cited. 
• Do not access inappropriate or harmful content. Intentional or negligent misuse, including bypassing filters or sharing login credentials, is prohibited. 
• Maintain confidentiality of passwords and personal data; do not share accounts. 
• Communication via LMS (forums, messages) must remain respectful; bullying, harassment, or inappropriate language is strictly prohibited. 
• Report any security issues or suspicious activity immediately. 
• The school reserves the right to monitor system use and investigate any violations. Access may be suspended for violations. 
• Do not input personal data (such as names, IDs, addresses) into AI or public platforms.
• Parents, guardians, and students will be informed of any data collection; consent will be sought where appropriate.
• Using AI tools without authorization is considered plagiarism. Unattributed or improper AI use will trigger the school's academic integrity procedures.  
• Parents and students must acknowledge (via a signed form) that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by this policy. 
• This policy may be revised as technologies and school needs evolve. Users will be notified of updates and are responsible for reviewing changes. 

LMS Payment Policy:

• LMS access depends on the timely payment of all school fees. Access may be suspended or revoked if fees remain unpaid.
